Kent State's New Entrepreneurship Major!

The time has come. Julie Messing of the Entrepreneurship Center has been working towards this for the past few years. What an exciting time for Kent State University and Northeast Ohio. See President Lefton's message below:

"The generosity of Kent State alumni and other friends also was a highlight of this week's Board of Trustees meeting. To expand Kent State's leadership in the exploding discipline of entrepreneurship, the Board established a unique, interdisciplinary bachelor of business administration major in entrepreneurship. In a related action, Trustees authorized the start of a project to construct an entrepreneurial lab in the Kent Campus Business Administration Building. The lab, which will be completed next summer, will include collective team spaces; an office for an entrepreneur-in-residence; a large, multifunction classroom; and a resource area. All of this was made possible by a magnanimous gift from John S. Brinzo, a distinguished Kent State graduate and a member of the Board of Directors of the Kent State University Foundation. Having the pleasure of knowing Mr. Brinzo, I can tell you that he is deeply committed to helping students succeed in today's innovation-driven world." - President Lester Lefton, Kent State University
