New taxi and shuttle service starting this Fall of 2007

Mission Statement
To provide a valuable service to the Kent community; lessen drunk driving, minimize parking issues, and create a safer community through safe day and late night rides. Other benefits will be economic development, increased business success, community enhancement, and improved awareness of activities & events in Kent.

Who are we?
Go2Go is a taxi and shuttle service that provides transportation to the entire student, resident, and Kent community. Go2Go serves those in downtown Kent, the college campus, neighborhoods, and local businesses.

What do we do?
We offer transportation service through telephone, email, text messaging, and side of the road pick-up and drop-offs. We also offer a variety of advertising options.

Products and Services
This service is beneficial to the area and with your contributions you will be part of an exciting beginning to a safer community. The Go2Go vehicle(s) will serve customers Tuesday through Saturday 10am-3am, and Sunday and Monday 10am-10pm; operating for a minimum of 109 hours weekly. Along with the shuttle, the “What2do, Where2go and Who2know” newsletter will be distributed twice a month to passengers using the Go2Go service as well as being distributed at local businesses.

There are many ways to advertise with us and the first is on our vehicle(s). We offer a variety of ways to display your logo on the vehicle starting at $50 per year. Along with your logo on the vehicle there will be a newsletter distributed twice a month containing current local events, coupons, business promotions, and other information regarding the city of Kent.

Go2Go Newsletter
The “Where2Go, What2Do, and Who2Know” will be a twice a month newsletter that
includes events in Kent and at Kent State University. It will provide descriptions of local
venues, restaurants, bars, and other companies. It also will highlight exceptional people in
the Kent community and provide space for high reach advertisements and coupons.

How can my company get involved?
Submit: 1) Events (free)
2) Business review (free)
3) Exceptional person (free)
4) Advertisement ($40 per page, $20 half page, $10 quarter page, $5 eighth of
page, $5 coupon)

Newsletters will be distributed in the taxi and at popular locations around the Kent area and all vehicle sponsors will receive recognition in our twice a month newsletter.

Don’t drink and drive
There are almost 30,000 people in the Kent area according to a 2000 U.S. census, and about 24,000 enrolled at Kent State’s main campus. Let’s take a look at the effect alcohol induced accidents has on a population such as Kent’s.
- Alcohol related crashes are the leading cause of death for young Americans, between the ages of 16 and 24 years old.
- One American life is lost every 20 minutes in alcohol related auto crashes.
- Presently 25,000 people are killed each year in alcohol related accidents.
- In Ohio, it's estimated that roughly 400 people will die, 15,000 will be injured, and 20,000 will be involved in an alcohol-related crash, every year. [1]
Go2Go’s taxi service will reduce the amount of people affected. Please support a safer Kent.

When will Go2Go start operation?
Target Start Date of taxi: August 14th - August 20th, 2007

Why a taxi in Kent?
Most importantly, Kent will be a safer place with less drunk driving and a safe transportation service late at night. Kent needs such a service. Downtown Kent lacks a very important customer base because of this transportation need. Students and residents of Kent prefer an inexpensive and efficient door-to-door service. The result will be increased economic development for the city of Kent.

1st Deadline to submit the following form is August 6th, 2007 at 12 noon. All the top bidders for “Sponsor a Taxi” will be contacted August 6th around 1 p.m., and allowed to outbid the top bidder. All other contributors will be contacted August 7th to determine logo usage. (If you don’t make the 1st deadline, post-deadline entries will be used provided there is space left or on a later vehicle)
